Long Term Stability Analysis of Monoclonal Antibodies
Long Term Stability Analysis of Monoclonal Antibodies Overview Characterization of biopharmaceuticals during all development phases is critical to the candidate selection process and the ongoing production of the active material. Some recent efforts to achieve patient self-administration has required high API concentrations (100-300 mg/mL). Development concerns for the high concentration formulations are denaturation, aggregation…
DetailsLoading the RS-DSC and Starting an Experiment
Overview In this Tech Tip, we will demonstrate how to load the TA Instruments Rapid Screening Differential Scanning Calorimeter (RS-DSC), program a method, and start an experiment.

Q Series Trade-In The Q Series™ instruments will enter their End-of-Life at the end 2024. Repair and maintenance will be done on “best-effort” after 2024. However, it should be noted that our ability to make these repairs is subject to availability of parts. In the attempt to facilitate the transition to the current Discovery Series,…
DetailsLithium-ion Battery Quality and Performance Testing with Isothermal Microcalorimetry
Over the past decade, battery research, development, and quality control have adopted in-situ and in-operando isothermal microcalorimetry (IMC) as the leading method to evaluate heat flow during lithium-ion battery cycling. While cycling a cell to failure can take many months, emerging diagnostic tests are able to predict long-term behavior in a matter of weeks.

Brochure Lithium-Ion Battery Brochure Download Analytical Solutions for Lithium-ion Battery Material Characterization Lithium-ion batteries represent a key technology to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in transportation, industrial equipment, and consumer electronics. Lithium-ion battery technology requires advanced material characterization of the anode, cathode, electrolyte, binder, and separator if lithium-ion batteries are to achieve their full potential as…
DetailsLiquid Cell Testing via Heat Flow Meter Method
The thermal properties of liquids can be determined through the Heat Flow Meter Method. This is achieved with the DTC-300 instrument, a General Purpose Heat Flow Meter. Though a ‘standard’ sample tested via HFM is a solid disc of varying thickness, the implementation of an optional test cell allows for liquids to be tested as well, provided that they are in the range of 0.1 – 1.0 W/m·K.
