All-inclusive instrument control and data processing for the TAM suite
of Isothermal Microcalorimeters
All-inclusive instrument control and data processing for the TAM suite
of Isothermal Microcalorimeters

TA Instruments’ robust application for instrument control, data acquisition, data analysis, and reporting for the Microcalorimetry TAM suite of instruments. The single, intuitive user interface combines real-time instrument monitoring, experimental design wizards, and application specific analysis capabilities, providing the user a comprehensive yet simple workflow solution.
Quickly navigate between experiment creation and data processing within a single, user-friendly software package. Designed with logical grouping and clear organization of functional elements, TAM Assistant propels users of all experience levels to maximum productivity at first use.

Programming experiments has never been easier. Experiment wizards guide you through the process, ensuring all required selections are made, or build fully custom procedures to suite your unique requirements. With exclusive Go-Everywhere Licensing, you are free to analyze data in your lab, office, home, or anywhere you choose. Freely share data files with colleagues across the hall, the complex, or across the world for review or analysis.

A comprehensive set of advanced tools are available for in-depth data analysis and reporting of your data. Gain actionable insights into your sample’s behavior and prepare presentation ready documents through a powerful and versatile set of features seamlessly integrated into TAM Assistant.
Automatic fitting and real-time calculation of results takes the hard work out of data analysis. Select from a comprehensive list of included models, select the region of interest, and let TAM Assistant calculate the best fit parameters and analysis results for you. Consisting of Linear, Constant, Sigmoid, and Exponential (decay, growth, pulsed, sloped pulse, and dual) fit models, multiple data integration methods, and peak analysis feature, TAM Assistant contains a suitable function for fitting and analyzing all your experimental results.

TAM Assistant contains a built-in STANAG analysis function for the stability testing of munitions and propellants. Mainly focused on Nitrocellulose using various stabilizers, this NATO established procedure defines the test procedure and requirements while the simple to use analysis feature provides a judgement of the storage safety of 10 years at 25 °C of your energetic materials.
A calorimetric signal can be a rich source of thermodynamic, kinetic, stoichiometric and analytical information. TAM Assistant provides methods of calculation and for developing a kinetic model from isothermal heat data. Calculations can be carried out on both solid-state systems and systems in solution. Four model choices are available, depending on what type of reaction is involved:
Easily prepare your data for presentation using the TAM Assistant Report Explorer. Build your report manually or use one of the predefined templates available in the various analysis functions.
Data integrity is the overall completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data and processes during its entire lifecycle. This includes the steps involved in setting up and running experiments, as well as managing the data that is collected. TAM Assistant creates secure files so you can rest easy knowing your data is safe.
The advanced data collection system automatically saves all relevant signals, experiment information, and test parameters. This set of information is invaluable for method development, procedure deployment, and data validation.
Complete compliancy to 21 CFP Part 11 cannot be reached by the instrument system itself. The optional TAM Assistant Security package compliments the standard operating procedures required and assists regulated environments in achieving compliance by offering the follow features.
Utilizing a proprietary, encrypted file format, TAM data files are safeguarded against external modification. Should an unauthorized or unexpected change occur, rest easy knowing that TAM Assistant will not allow externally modified data to be displayed.
