To reduce time and costs for developing fatigue life (s/n) curves for NiTi, CoCr, and SS stent materials and structures, TA ElectroForce has configured multi-specimen test systems utilizing the versatility of the ElectroForce® 3200 and 3330 test instruments. Both systems include the enhanced measurement capability of the TA ElectroForce High Accuracy Displacement Sensor. This enables an even wider range of testing by improving low-amplitude displacement measurements, all through a single, easy-to-use displacement channel. The sensor is calibrated to the highest accuracy class, Class A, of ASTM E-2309
The NEW DuraPulse™ Stent/Graft test (SGT) instrument extends the performance and reliability that ElectroForce SGTs have become known for over the past 20 years. Still utilizing proprietary high-bandwidth, low-distortion ElectroForce actuator technology to provide best-in-class performance, the DuraPulse SGT incorporates a modular manifold design that allows the user to easily change out manifold and tube sets to optimize sample throughput for various stented device sizes. An enhanced software user interface is easier to use and includes inner diameter (ID) and outer diameter (OD) radial strain calculations, improved strain control modes, and simplified data acquisition.
Using proprietary ElectroForce controls and linear motor technology, the DuraPulse™ Heart Valve Test (HVT) instrument achieves smooth waveform fidelity and precise control for accelerated heart valve durability testing. Automatic feedback control and independent test chambers ensure that established test conditions are maintained throughout the test. The DuraPulse HVT instrument provides testing to the ISO 5840 standard for heart valve durability assessment.
ElectroForce TestBench configurations were designed with component testing in mind, and thanks to their modular approach, a wide array of configurations and performance capabilities are possible. These instruments can be configured with 200N, 400N, or 3kN ElectroForce linear motors mounted on a horizontal baseplate and include multi-channel and multi-axis options.
Reaction brackets are pre-designed to allow attachment of components or the test specimen to the mounting baseplate. In addition, a saline bath can be provided as an environmental option. By selecting the proper baseplate and ElectroForce® motor packages, a variety of testing needs can be addressed.
The ElectroForce Planar Biaxial TestBench instrument offers superior control and unparalleled performance in material and soft tissue characterization. Using this instrument, you can assess mechanical anisotropy and stress-strain relationships in samples that range from engineered devices, including wearable sensors and wound repair meshes, to tissues such as skin, pericardium, and heart valve leaflets. This instrument can be configured with either two or four ElectroForce linear motors mounted on a horizontal baseplate and load cell options for each axis of loading
The ElectroForce 5500 test instrument provides characterization and stimulation capabilities for a variety of synthetic materials such as composites and elastomers, biomaterials, tissue samples, and tissue-engineered constructs. It features a 200 N maximum force.
This test instrument is versatile and can meet the individualized needs of educators and researchers through a variety of fixtures and software options.
ElectroForce 3500 test instruments are available in three base system configurations. The 3510 instrument, rated at 7.5 kN, is configured with the linear motor installed in the upper crosshead, making it well-suited for applications requiring a temperature-controlled bath. The 3520 instrument is rated at 7.5 kN, and the linear motor is installed in the lower baseplate. The 3550 instrument is a higher-force configuration rated at 15 kN.
ElectroForce Series II 3300 test instruments are well-suited for a variety of tests that include ASTM and ISO standards for medical devices, materials characterization, and long-term durability tests. The ElectroForce 3300 series includes two test instruments; the ElectroForce 3310 provides 1000 N of maximum force while the ElectroForce 3330 provides 3000N. Both test instruments can perform tests that range from one cycle per day (or static tests) up to 100 Hz Select the force capacity that is appropriate for your testing needs.
The ElectroForce® 3200 Series III test instruments feature a 225 N (450 N optional) maximum force. With the versatility of static to 300 Hz frequency response, the table-top configuration is adaptable to a variety of biomedical research and engineered materials test applications, including torsion testing, creep under dynamic loading and special environments (hot/cold chambers).
