About The Speakers
Dr. Kadine Mohomed earned her Ph.D. in Material Chemistry from the University Of South Florida, where her doctorial dissertation focused on the development and thermal characterization of bio-compatible, polymeric coatings for an implantable glucose sensor. After joining TA Instruments in 2006 as a Thermal Analysis & Microcalorimetry Applications Engineer, Dr. Mohomed took over the role of Applications Laboratory Manager in 2014. Dr. Mohomed and her team of applications engineers support TA Instruments’ award-winning support and service network, assisting customers with sample and data analysis, as well as general product support.
Yash Adhia is an Applications Engineer at TA Instruments supporting the thermal line of products. Prior to joining TA Instruments, he earned his Master’s in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. During his graduate studies, he worked on studying and characterizing gels formed through the self-assembly of small molecules and its interaction with polymeric additives using thermal, mechanical and optical techniques. He earned his Bachelor’s in Surface Coating Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India where his undergraduate research focused on studying curing kinetics of epoxy resins using DSCs. During the course of his undergraduate and graduate studies, he has had the opportunity to intern at Asian Paints India Ltd, Mumbai, working on formulating and characterizing photo-curable coatings, and at INOS Technologies, Ann Arbor working on negative pressure wound therapy foams.
James Browne is an analytical chemist with 30 years of experience, the last eight of which have been as an Applications Scientist at TA Instruments. Prior to joining TA, he worked as a research chemist for a leading producer of polyolefins. His responsibilities centered on business support. His areas of expertise include thermal analysis, infrared spectroscopy, infrared microspectroscopy, chromatography, NMR, and microscopy. James holds a B.S degree in chemistry from Drexel University in Philadelphia PA.
Dr. Andre A. Levchenko has been an applications scientist at TA Instruments for three years. Before joining TA Instruments Dr. Levchenko worked for analytical instrumentation companies and research laboratories specialized in thermal analysis and calorimetry. Andre finished his PhD at Russian Academy of Sciences in condensed matter physics working on liquid-crystalline polymers. He won a Russian Presidential scholarship to continue his advanced studies in materials science at University of California – Davis. He worked at Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz and Dresden (Germany) while studying for his PhD thesis, and also as a researcher in Peter A. Rock Thermochemistry Laboratory at University of California – Davis. He has more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
