Overview

Off Axis BD Pulsatile

The TA Electroforce off-axis pulsatile upgrade is a separate motor system that provides pulsatile flow and pressure through a tubular sample when using an ElectroForce® BioDynamic® chamber.  This upgrade is available for all BioDynamic test instruments as well as 3200 and LM1 TestBench systems that are equipped with a BioDynamic chamber.

Key Features

  • A pulsatile test frame is provided that uses a bellows assembly to generate pulsatile waveforms to mimic blood flow through a blood vessel
  • Catheter style pressure transducers allow the measurement of pressures both inside the chamber as well as inside a vascular sample

  • Single and four-chamber off-axis pulsatile designs are available for multi-specimen applications

The BioDynamic® burst upgrade provides the user the option of determining burst pressure of different vascular specimens.

  • Pressure sensor that threads onto chamber/shaft port
  • Modified project file to add burst testing functionality
